Platypus

In place of Anny, here is the platypus she brought back from Australia

What is a great roadtrip without great people to enjoy it with? When Angela and I started planning our curcumnavigation of our neighbour to the south, the United States of America, Angela’s sister Anny was in the middle of her own month-long roadtrip around Queensland, Australia. Luckily it turned out her trip was coming to an end just in time for her to jump on a plane and head back to Vancouver to join us for our trip.

So while Angela and I have been planning and prepping for the trip, Anny has been wrapping up her end of things in Australia and this afternoon we went to pick her up at YVR. I even lugged my camera with me to snap a shot of her arriving, but sadly she wasn’t really up for much posing for pictures after a 19+ hour trip so I scrapped the idea. In her place I’ve put a photo of my new and very cool platypus that she brought home with her. He (or is it a she? I wonder) has yet to be named. Suggestions will be taken seriously.

With Anny back on Canadian soil our crew is almost complete. Tomorrow we are picking up my brother Kim who is flying in from Norway to join us on the Vancouver – Los Angeles leg. Once that’s done, we are all set to go!
